The InstruMMent 01 captures dimensions of any object and logs the measurements through your smartphone

Image
A new measuring tool? Sign us up. The InstruMMent 01 captures dimensions of any object and logs the measurements through your smartphone. One end of the pen/pencil/stylus has a black rubberized wheel that rolls over flat and curved surfaces. Sensors record the distance travelled (in 0.1 mm increments) with a laser to help you gauge exactly where you start and finish. Want to see how big your face is, or capture your exact profile? Roll the end from your forehead to your chin, then watch the line appear in the accompanying app. What about measuring a chair or a sculpture? Roll the end across and around, and ta-da! You’ll have the dimensions ready to share. The app will translate scaled quantities as well (and you can import to CAD!). So fun. With Lite App: 01 rolls to capture dimensions of any object, then logs, converts and shares through the smartphone. With Pro App: 01 rolls to capture 3D curves of any object, you share via smartphone, download to key CAD software.

Mindmaps - A Free web based #mindmapping application. Demo / Tutorial #productivity

Image
" Mindmaps " is a free mindmapping html 5 web based application by David Richard. This is a full-featured mind mapping application solution and you just can't beat the free price. You can save your files in the cloud, It supports Google, Dropbox and more, or you could save the file locally (JSON), there is even a browser-based experimental saving option. By the way, you can use the ‘red dot’ to create new nodes, as well as the examples I demo in the video. We give it two huge thumbs up and highly recommend you giving it a try, go to www.drichard.org/mindmaps not doctor Richard (lol). The project is now open sourced and on Github for developer contribution, we expect great things. From the Mindmaps website: " about This is a prototype of an HTML5 based mind mapping application. It lets you create neat looking mind maps in the browser. Did you know that it is still available offline? You can use the app wherever you are, there is no need for an internet connection,

Legend Archery - Artemis #Archery Backpack Review

Image
There's so much to love about this bag, the biggest factor is the great price, what a great value! I highly recommend this bag, the quality and build is really quite good. You can hold about 12 target arrows arrows tight. The padding is really thick and the stitching is quite good. The only issue I had are the straps being a bit short for an average size guy. Getting the arrow cover back on is inconsistent but a very minor gripe. I also wish it had more then three small interior pockets as one has to just put things loose in the bag. This bag can hold quite a bit, especially for a recurve shooter, the riser and limb case is padded double slotted and fantastic just don't lose it. I recommend this bag and would buy again, I give it five stars on the price alone, around the $40 range as of this posting date.

Flavors.me closing down #deadpool

Image
Email sent to users, "Hello, With regret, we’ve made the decision to close down Flavors.me. Due to a change in strategic direction, we've decided to move resources to focus on other digital projects and MOO's core heartland - helping businesses of all sizes look their best with beautiful printed products. We fully appreciate how frustrating this is and hope you understand that we’ve deliberated over this decision for many months. Recent issues with Flavors have forced us to look very carefully at the service we provide and we no longer feel we can offer a robust service into the future. We’ve already disabled new sign-ups and in the coming months we will begin to retire parts of the service. Due to this, we will be closing all free subscriber accounts on 31st March 2017. You are more than welcome to continue using Flavors until this date, but we’d encourage you to start looking for an alternative solution. Below are a couple of suggested tools for

Loom a slick web based free video capturing and messaging service #ux #productivity

Image
Loom is a web based free video capturing and messaging service. The UX and design are quite sublime, we really like it so far. The development team is lightning fast to add amazing features without compromising simplicity of the product. The main caveat/downside we see is that Loom currently has a referral-based requirement such that you will be unable to access your video's that are older than 24hrs until you get one referral. We are hoping they offer an alternative free or pay option to bypass this limitation especially with such great competition in the wings like Viewedit , Screencastify and others. Try Loom out today .
