Six innovative companies were selected at the JapanNight semi-final in Tokyo  earlier this month .  On November 5, they come to SF to pitch at the popular  A utomattic Lounge in San Francisco . We attended the 5th SF Japan Night by btrax on March 5. Six great startups from Japan presented and gave us a glimpse of what Japanese startups are all about. Learning seemed to be the hot button. ShareWis took top honors as people's choice and Judge's choice at this event. ShareWis is a free "causual learning experience" as described on their website. ShareWis let's visually tracks you learning via a  concept map or  knowledge map and allows you to add to the learning community with your own video lectures. SF Japan Night is back. btrax  is bringing 6 semi-finalists from the February event in Tokyo who will be pitching on March 5 at YetiZen . These promising startups will be judged by group of great tech community leaders like Shirley Lin of 800birds , Ahmed Siddiqui of SignalFire , Edith Yeung of Right Ventures and Dolphin,  Ray Grieselhuber of Ginzamarkets, Inc and  Igor Shoifot investor with TMT Investments and chairman of  HappyFarm .
