Weekend Must Watch: A Bunch of Makers Create a HOV Lane Ferrari

Image
Wired Follows Ferrari Enthusiasts Make a 308 Electric GT Photo Courtesy of Conde Nast Entertainment At the  2016 Geneva Motor Show ,  Ferrari  Chairman  Sergio Marchionne  told the media clearly that Ferrari is  not   interested  in building an all-electric car.  Marchionne said "With Ferrari, it's almost an obscene concept,". He went on to say "You'd have to shoot me first." With makers, those comments make the perfect gauntlet challenge. Eric  Hutchison, of electric car conversion company -Electric GT, worked EV specialist Michael Bream at EV West to engineer and design an electric powerplant that can be integrated into a late 70's 308GT. This beast has more torque than the original V8 and may even have a better 0-60 time. Thanks to the Wired Channel of Conde Nast Entertainment's The Scene  for documenting this gem of a Ferrari maker paradise.

Introducing Crusoe, the #mobile #application that gives you the ability to recall everything you’ve ever wanted to remember.

Image
"Introducing Crusoe, the mobile application that gives you the ability to recall everything you’ve ever wanted to remember. On average our minds can recall only about 10% of what we’ve read.  We built Crusoe for recalling the other 90%.   Crusoe is a note-taking Evernote app for researchers, writers, students, professionals, and thoughtful readers that not only lets you create two-way links between notes but actually lets you navigate your notes along these connection-pathways.  In Crusoe, you can never lose your train of thought because that’s exactly what Crusoe saves.   What would it take for your mobile device to replicate what Eddie did in  Limitless ? Just saving thousands of notes to a service such as Evernote or OneNote wouldn’t do it. Eddie’s genius mind didn’t churn out search results.  Google can do that. Instead, Eddie could  connect the dots  between the problem he’s facing at any given moment, and the best answer is drawn from everything he’s ever seen or

Create an #Inspiring #Workplace in 2017 #business #operations #culture

Image
Unfortunately, many of us feel trapped during the work day by spaces that are less than welcoming—or even less than inspiring. But it’s hard to pinpoint why unless you talk to an expert. They might tell you a couple of surprising things. For starters, color has more of an influence that many people realize. It can change your mood and even affect how much you get done. Trying to get excited but in a room, that’s neutral or blue? Those tones don’t help—but energetic pops of hot colors like red do. Find your focus failing in the middle of the afternoon (and blaming it on the coffee)? Sure, tiredness might have an impact, but so too does an office’s lack of casual, gathering-like spaces for employees to share or just to get a break. What you can do—even if you can’t paint walls or move offices—is take inspiration from the ideas in this graphic. By Cubicle Concepts
