Disrupting the Educational Assessment System with ActiveGrade


A few weeks ago, we were introduced to a startup in the Silicon Prairie called ActiveGrade. Active Grade is based on Standards-based grading where students are compared to an achievable standard instead of the typical bell-shaped curve. We had a chance to interview Michal Eynon-Lynch, co-founder and Director of Outreach for ActiveGrade to chat about standards-based grading and how their product, ActiveGrade helps students and teachers achieve a new learning paradigm.

ActiveGrades helps implement goal-based or standards-based assessment. In this segment, Michal talks about her background and how she got involved with standards-based assessment.
